A seminar on Self-Employment is being organised on 12.08.2026 by MSME Ludhiana at Government Polytechnic College, Rupnagar. ✨ MoU with NIELIT Ropar (Deemed to be University) on 27.05.2026 ✨
We are pleased to share that an MoU has been signed between Govt. Polytechnic College Rupnagar and NIELIT Ropar (Deemed to be University) under the guidance and leadership of Principal Dr. Navneet Walia. This collaboration aims to provide students with enhanced opportunities for training, skill development, and various internship programmes that will help bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements. The partnership will encourage practical learning, technical exposure, and employability-focused initiatives for the students, helping them prepare for future career opportunities.
✨ FDP on Augmented and Virtual Reality under FutureSkills Prime Initiative by NIELIT Ropar 11-15th May 2026 ✨
Faculty members participated in the Faculty Development Programme organized by National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology Ropar under the FutureSkills initiative. The programme aimed at enhancing knowledge and practical exposure in emerging technologies and future-ready skills. It provided an excellent platform for faculty members to upgrade their technical competencies through expert sessions, interactive learning, and hands-on activities.
🌞 Chemical Engineering Final Year Project Showcase: Solar Grass Cutter 🌱
This project focuses on using renewable energy to create an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution for grass cutting. The system uses a solar panel to generate electricity, which is stored in a battery and used to run a motor for cutting grass. This project helped to understand practical applications of renewable energy and basic automation systems.

Students visited NIELIT Rupnagar, where an informative training session was conducted. The session provided valuable insights and hands-on learning opportunities, enhancing students’ knowledge and practical skills. Dr. Sarwan Singh, Scientist ‘D’ at National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology Ropar, guided the students regarding various training opportunities and other academic programmes. His directions provided clarity on skill development pathways and encouraged students to actively participate in future learning initiatives.
